Famos Privacy Policy
Updated 14 September 2026 · Swift iOS appFamos is a live-stream simulator. There is no real public broadcast; viewers and comments are simulated. You can use the camera and effects without agreeing to AI data sharing.
Who operates Famos?
Penendi operates Famos. Contact info@penendi.com about privacy, access or deletion.
Data we process
- Your profile name, username, topic, audience and language are sent to Penendi servers to personalize the simulation. Your selected profile photo stays in local app preferences; the profile file is not attached to AI requests.
- While the microphone is enabled, Apple's speech recognition converts speech into text. Depending on your device and language, this may require Apple server processing. Famos does not send raw microphone audio to its API or OpenRouter.
- If you allow AI sharing, speech transcripts, typed messages and occasional compressed camera snapshots taken when generating comments are sent to Penendi servers. Snapshots may contain your face, surroundings and other people. Do not share other people's private information without their permission.
- If you submit feedback, we process its rating, text, app version and language for support. Network requests expose technical information such as IP addresses to our servers and infrastructure providers.
AI providers and storage
Penendi sends text and, when included, a camera snapshot through OpenRouter to Google Gemini models. Routing is restricted to Google providers and excludes providers allowing data collection. We use the result to produce simulated comments and questions. OpenRouter and Google's own security and service records are governed by their respective policies; we do not promise zero retention by every provider.
Snapshots are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage; stream history and image references are stored in a database. They are not a public Famos broadcast or user gallery. A party with a valid image link can access its file while it remains available. Processing may occur outside your country.
Effects and face processing
The normal camera and local face tracking run on your device. Selecting a Snap AR lens activates Snap Camera Kit and its own terms/consent presentation. Temporary face landmarks or similar AR data may be processed to position effects. Famos does not create biometric identity profiles or store local face geometry on its servers. Camera snapshots sent to AI are separate images, not the local geometry. Snap may process technical usage and device information for its SDK service. See the Snap privacy policy.
Subscriptions and technical services
Apple handles payments. RevenueCat manages subscription status, transaction history and an app user identifier. Penendi does not receive payment card details. Firebase App Check uses Apple App Attest/DeviceCheck to help verify requests from the genuine app. The app does not display ads. In Swift 2.0, only after Apple tracking permission is granted, the Meta SDK measures app activation and paywall interactions. RevenueCat may use the Meta anonymous identifier, permitted device/advertising identifiers and IP address to match subscription conversions with Meta. This measures Famos advertising and marketing performance. Purchases, actual subscription trial starts, paid conversions and renewals may be delivered server-to-server. Camera frames, audio, transcripts and profile photos are never sent to Meta. Denying tracking does not restrict app use or purchases. You can change permission in iOS Settings; the app refreshes it when opened again. RevenueCat continues processing essential subscription records and custom paywall impressions for app functionality/analytics. Firebase Analytics is not included. See the Meta privacy policy for its practices.
Retention and deletion
New stream records and uploaded snapshots are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Cleanup runs every six hours; transient storage failures may delay deletion and are retried. Feedback is kept while needed for support. Subscription and accounting records are subject to Apple/RevenueCat practices and applicable retention obligations. Uninstalling Famos does not delete providers' own records.
To request deletion or a copy of your data, email our support address with the username used in Famos and approximate usage dates. We may request information needed to verify your request; do not send passwords or card details.
Recent conversation on your device
The latest stream topic and up to six AI comments shown during that stream are stored on your device to help start your next conversation. This local record includes no camera images or raw audio. Records at least 30 days old are cleared when the app is reopened or returns to the foreground, and can be cleared earlier from the recent-conversation card menu on the home screen. Viewing the card sends no new AI request.
Your choices
You may decline AI sharing or withdraw it in Settings → AI and privacy. Withdrawal stops subsequent AI requests; it does not automatically erase data already sent. Manage camera, microphone and speech permissions in iOS Settings. AI sharing is not required to use the camera or effects. Uninstalling removes local app preferences; request deletion separately for cloud records.
Children, rights and changes
Famos is not directed to children under 13. Depending on your country, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent and complain to a supervisory authority. Send requests to info@penendi.com. We will update this policy for material processing changes and request consent again in the app when needed.
